.tidelift files

The Tidelift CLI supports reading the information about the project you are operating on from a file named .tidelift in your directory. You can download a preconfigured .tidelift file from the web app.  Having the file will ensure that the Tidelift CLI will associate all actions with that project, such as checking alignment and requesting a package.

  1. From the Tidelift web app, navigate to the project and hit the button on the right side of the screen to download the .tidelift file
  2. Save this file in your project's root directory
  3. Note that as these files have no API credentials, they can be checked into your source control system

Troubleshooting note: Environment variables and command line flags will take precedence over a .tidelift file.
